The Invoker
Lawson the vampire keeps other vampires from tipping humanity off to their existence. Lawson had to sanction Watterson for dealing drugs and bringing unwanted attention to the vampires, but he discovers that it was a set-up to get at Watterson's son, Jack, an Invoker. Council member Arvella needs Jack's power to open a link to the spirit world. If Lawson doesn't stop her, all hell really will break loose.
